I Grew Up Very Sheltered

I was talking with my friends from the town I went to high school, we talked about a lot of things but then later on they said I grew up sheltered and I guess it might be true but im not sure haha. I am Native American, part of the Navajo tribe, I grew up on the reservation and where I lived there was not a person in a 5 mile radius, so was just me, my siblings and my cousins. we didn't have electricity till I turned 14-15 was in high school. I knew about movies and computers from school but nothing else it wasn't till I was a junior in high school that I found out about Heavy Metal (I heard dabbles of other music but not metal) and from once I heard it I was into it, it connected with me more the any other music genre the very first band that I heard was Iron Maiden-Hollowed Be Thy Name. from there my friend showed me a lot of music from the beginning of metal till now I had to condense decades of it into a couple months which I did haha, out of all of the bands I listened to my favorites are: 1.Iron Maiden 2. Atreyu 3. Lacuna Coil 4. Red Hot Chili Peppers 5. Dio 6. Cradle of Fifth 7. Bullet For My Valentine 8. The Creepshows 9. Tiger Army 10. Metallica. Thats how I started listening to Metal :D my friend was surprised when I told him that it wasn't till I was in high school that I listened to it because of him. there also how I started playing video games, I watched anime, and other things, but discovering Heavy Metal is the important one. so It wasn't till high school that I started learning about new things in this world. I might do other things I found out about, maybe.
