I Am a Young Widow

I became a widow two weeks after my 40th birthday. I never thought I would be a single mom

I am not sure why I felt the need to share this. He passed away 2/19/2012 so it has been awhile. I guess I want other young widows to know, they will be okay. I was having a weak moment when I posted this LOL

My last relationship was with a widow. He died suddenly on the stairmaster. I met her after she had one relationship already and her daughter was 12. It was a big challenge to our relationship because her daughter was jealous (according to her mother) and wanted her surviving parent to herself plus she was an only child, she was entering her teens and has Asperger's. I was willing to step out but the widow wanted an adult relationship and not be tied to her demanding daughter.

Wow that's tough. So very young. Sending warm thoughts and prayers.
What ages are your children?
@GJOFJ3 they are 16 and 19 now but were 10 and 13 when he passed. It has been okay. We are doing well all things considering. I am proud of me for not going insane after I lost him.. I thought I might at times.

@Ipleadthe5th it takes strength and determination to keep going and doing everything you have to do. I'm proud of you too.

That's a kick in the teeth! I bet that left a scar on you and your children.
Remarried now?
@mrbuddhawannabe nope. I don’t think I ever will

@Ipleadthe5th Is it because no other man can measure up to your husband?
