My son was born March 2017...

Yes, he will be four next March, I was twenty when he was born. I wasn't twenty one until that November. Not quite a teenage Mum, but as good as for what I knew about the world 🌎. I had been saving as much money as I could from my cut of our gigs, and I got a couple of families who asked me to enhance their children's piano playing or fiddle playing skill. So I had those earnings too!

Living at my aunt's has meant money has never been a problem since I watch her children as well as my son, so she's able to continue with work, as is her husband, and actually cut their costs a little.

I love being a Mum, Mom, or as we call them here in Ireland, Mam. It is a godgiven role that should be natural to every woman, and appreciated by everyone for that very reason I feel. Having a dependent did not take away from my sense of being, wellbeing, at all it enhanced it in so many ways which were effectively life changing because it's not all about me anymore there's someone else in my life who utterly loves me!
You sound like you have a good head on your shoulders and all the right attributes to be a really good Mum.. Your child is very fortunate to be brought up in a caring and loving environnent. Good luck and keep safe during these challenging times..
