I Have An Abusive, Controlling Mother

One thing that made an impression on me growing up is how different my mom talked to me compared to her friends...or even strangers in public. Everything she said to me had a condescending tone. She was either angry, sarcastic/mocking, bossy and/or verbally abusive. Yet with her friends she would be all happy and fun sounding. She could be yelling at me one minute, the phone would ring and her personality completely changed to her friend on the phone..even her tone of voice changed..it seemed so fake.
