I Am Confused

Everyone (atleast in India) asking their beloved to be their valentine on valentine's day...

My question is "Wasn't valentine a Saint.?

If so then do you want Ur beloved to become a Saint ? 馃
Valentine was a common Roman name, back in the day, meaning strength. So I always thought of asking someone to be your valentine was similar to asking for one to be yours,, your partner, the person you can lean on and they can lean on you, to be your strength. Kind of like asking for a hand in marriage, only in a dating kind of way.

He was a saint that was marrying couples that were otherwise being persecuted by the then Roman head of church, he was imprisoned for doing this.

@Projecthonest ya I know that...

But asking your loved ones to be your valentine sounds weird.. atleast for me..

Valentine was the Saint...

Can't ask the lover to be your Valentine, right ?
