I'm A Rocket Ship On My Way To Mars [I Want To Go To Mars]

Well Elon's old car is...

What an amazing sight today to watch the Falcon Heavy launch. To hear the excitement of the crowd on the factory floor as their rocket performed so well on its first flight.

I'm in awe of what SpaceX has accomplished in such a short time. And I can't wait to see more from them.

And I love the nerdy humor and reverence for so many things I read and watched and listened to growing up that made me love space.
It all reminds me of the '60s and the moon shot.

What impressed me the most was the booster rockets returning to earth without damage. I mean, that's stuff from the 50's space movies!!! Incredible.

The space-suited dummy in the car, listening to Rocket Man...priceless!

@SWisGoingWoke I loved that too! The music, the car and spaceman, and especially the boosters returning - the perfectly timed landing of both of them. Fantastic!
Yes ... very inspirational.

Finally ... the youth stepped up and did something they are proud of ... their zeal and imagination is what the pursuit of happiness is about.

Their excitement was contagious today.

It showcased the best of being American.

It showcased imagination and project management.

It showcased vibrance

I teared up watching it. So cool!

@ChampagneOnIce Nice! I've seen a few launches from the Cape. Not the Shuttle though. The Atlas V in my avatar is from a launch I was at back in 2012.

I wondered about that. Love it! I used to work for Mad Science, and my favorite sessions were the NASA ones, especially when we launched a rocket. The kids’ faces lit up! So fun!

@ChampagneOnIce Oh fun! Launching any rocket is a source of joy. From toy to Saturn.
