As i recall the bliss of being at the hairdresser, i unleash these thoughts
A poet once sang of our bodies being electric, and this half explains the thrill of the touch. It is a plain as daylight display of our uniqueness, on both sides
At the dentist they would feel around the face and ears, i always liked that, i wished they'd forget about the teeth and just do that
Getting the back scratched, and around the neck especially is something i can't quite put into words, but it's like getting the back of one's itchy strained eyes scratched, an inner part that's for the most part unreached, that is suddenly and gloriously reached.
In these pandemic times these feelings may have been lacking for many of us. As we gradually get back to normal, let us that much more appreciate the little things, that feel like the ecstatic touch of the divine and loving being, we perhaps knew more intimately as children.
