I Am An Emergency Prepper

Gf and I are looking to buy an old abandoned/ghost town.

The goal is to turn it into a libertarian paradise and much as possible anyway.
One thing we plan on doing is leasing land as bugout locations, which will include municipal upkeep for those not currently inhabiting them.

Or if you just want a new start you’ll have a town to move to where people particularly those running things think about emergencies realistically we might be creating the place for you.

Would anyone be interested in something like this?
i know a LOT about this, Part of a number of intentional communities.
I was a member of the LP many years ago, a more inclusive org at the time.
There are a lot of factors, depending on how big yo9ur community is to be
the real key is WHERE do you hope to do this, and how many skills/people have signed up.

If your serious, shoot m a message, I fin that public discusion of plans tends to devolve into Humor or Rancor
@JohnPJones there are ways out of property taxes. Incorporation will get you more, governmental attention. HUGE differences, depending on what state you look in.
If you don't mind, dealing with beaurocracy, an LLC or similar usage, can deal with a lot of these.
What size of community do you hope for?
What region do you favor.

@SatyrService like i said planning for more than just a prepper community, if it grew beyond a small town I’d be fine with that.
@JohnPJones have you a "quorum" now? say 3=5 people with sufficient interest?
May I assume a nautical background from your name? common terminology can be useful

Isn't that how the Manson family got started? 🤔

@LyricalOne funny story I found out there may be remanents of the branch Davidian cult in Iowa at an abandoned water park

@JohnPJones Yeah, these kinds of places don't represent an auspicious beginning.....
@LyricalOne and Utah. and Virginia, and Massachusetts

Are you channeling Jim Jones
hertoy · 70-79, M
No...not because I'm against it, but I love where I'm at now. Good luck. Arizona has many places now that fit your description...
JohnPJones · 31-35, M
@hertoy understandable but say we did in your area would you be interested?

Just trying to do some market research so to speak

@JohnPJones No. I worked 60 - 80 hour weeks for 40 years to earn my dream house and I'm finally here. Nothing short of my death will get me out of here.
