What are demerit points? Here in the states we just have points. I think you're allowed up to 12 before they take away your license. And what are P-plates? Provisional plates? What's provisional?

We don't have any of that in the states. You go take your drivers test, on computer and if you pass, you get a learners permit. Then at some point after completing so many hours of driving on the learners permit, you have to take the road test to get your actual drivers license.

And every state is different when it comes to your vehicle. Like in my state, every year we have to have a state inspection and emissions done on the vehicle. And the mechanic puts up two stickers on the lower left inside of the windshield, with the month and year. My car right now shows 4/22 meaning in April 2022, I have to have the car inspected and pass an emissions test. We used to have to have a sticker on the license plate, but they finally stopped it. But that sticker was tied to the registration. We also have to have the car registered. The registration ties to the license plate and the person and their address. I sign up for every 2 years, so it's like 80 some bucks. And have to have insurance on the car too. Money, money, money. Wish it never existed.
Alot worst is going out in this world.
