I Wear Make Up

Not a Mask!...
When I was younger, I only wore eyeliner and mascara. After I married my second husband, I stopped wearing it altogether..he didn't care either way.
Now that I'm in my 50's I've started wearing it again, for my own satisfaction. I only wear a light dusting of mineral foundation, eye liner and mascara. I never wear lipstick..it dries my lips out..or blush..just looks gaudy on me.
I hope I've struck the right balance!!

Analyzer, as usual, you are spot on.....the make-up is probably more for my self-esteem than for Bruce....he DOES prefer everything off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BTW I feel the same way you do about the full-face thing, and, like you, was totally inept at the application...if I hadn't found the minerals, I probably would have just done without!! I really just CAN'T STAND that made-up feel!!!

That is my problem, too. My advice is to get some mineral loose powder (I use Physician's Formula...it's pretty light and doesn't cost an arm and a leg). All you need to do with it is cover problems with a small brush, them swirl the loose powder all over your face with a big , fat brush. Hope it works out for you!!

I used to wear just a bit of makeup when i was younger, ''mascara'' blusher and lip gloss, now i'm older i don't tend to wear it so much, unless i'm going to ''work'' or going out some where special, i'll put a bit of foundation and eyeliner on then as well as the mascara lip gloss and blusher, :-)

I have about the same philosophy, wb, I wear as little as possible to look my best without appearing overly unnatural. Since my relationship with Bruce is sooooo new, I tend to stay made up all the time!! (Lord knows I want to impress my new live-in lover!!)

I feel the same way! I never wore makeup as a teenager or young adult. Now that I'm 40, I think I'm hitting my mid-life crisis and have started wearing makeup. I too feel like a clown when I wear it. I don't know how to put it on very well which doesn't help either.
