as an art and music teacher of 25 years, I can tell you everyone there and everyone else's subject was much more valuable than mine. I was told so many times

@Petals the school system places very little value on Art and Music. If it doesn't relate to Math, Science or Athletics, it doesn't have much value.

@newstu I totally agree!! Such a shame 😞. Now, they're talking about the importance of emotional intelligence which definitely cannot be developed without a touch of the arts. Thank you for your contribution to our youth. You still teach?

just doing my own stuff now... figure drawing and finishing a few life cast torsos I started a few years ago. At least the school had a decent studio
