I Want to Tell My Story

once, there was a beautiful girl who would never speak. she used to speak when she was younger. she used to be perfectly normal. but one day when she was fourteen or so she just stopped speaking. she never left her bedroom and refused to attend school and stopped seeing her friends. she stopped reading and listening to music. her once bright eyes became emotionless. her family didn't understand what had happened. she wouldn't answer when they tried to talk to her. after a while they took her to see psychiatrists and psychologists. but still she refused to speak. not even a nod or a shake of her head. she just looked at them with her dull catatonic eyes. her family gave up and left her alone in her room. she slept all through the day. they left food out for her, but she only ate at night when she was alone and everyone was asleep. her skin grew even more pale. her long black hair became greasy and matted. eventually she was put in a psychiatric hospital. for a while her family visited. but she wouldn't acknowledge them. she just looked with dead eyes at everyone and everything. sometimes she sat motionless for hours. this was her life for years and years. what they didn't know was that she actually seen and heard everything. she was fully aware and conscious. she just hated everything. people disgusted her. society disgusted her. mankind disgusted her. she wanted nothing to do with any of it. to be a part of it would have destroyed her. she felt other people's pain. she felt too much and too intensely to the point where it shut her down. one evening, as she sat lifeless on a windowsill in the tv room of her hospital, seemingly staring at the trees and sky outside, another girl was brought into the room by two nurses. at first she didn't look or pay attention to her. but they were almost identical, these girls. after a few hours, when the sky was dark and the room was empty, she turned her head and looked right at the new girl. the new girl looked up and their eyes met. they looked at each other for a minute. then they both got up and went to their rooms. the next day, at dinner time, she was sat on the windowsill again. a nurse was talking to the new girl about which food she wanted. but the new girl never spoke. later that night, when the tv room was almost empty, their eyes met again. dead eyes. between the girls there was a couch. she got up from the windowsill and walked to the couch and sat down and looked at the floor. and then the new girl did the same, and sat right beside her. both of them were just looking at the floor, their long dirty black hair hiding their faces from each other. she put her hand out on the couch next her, between her and the new girl. the new girl did the same and their fingers touched. but they still wouldn't speak. not for years. i wonder where she is now. i think about her all the time. i don't even know her name. i don't even know if she's still alive. maybe she had enough and ended it all. i don't know. but i'll love her forever.

I thought this was going to end up being a story about how your meant your girlfriend. But even though it didn't have the happiest of endings, it was still beautiful

Sad yet beautiful. Maybe she's out there writing a story the same as you are about a silent friend that was there during her darkest time.

I knew this feeling. Silence can bring us closer...tie our hearts together... when we are in the same situation..(HUGS)
