what is the general definition/idea of an evil person?

we all have a different perspective of what makes an evil person, so my idea of an evil bastard is that they take pleasure in the suffering of others, they're a narcissistic douche, and they want to see others fail. I hate those type of people with mottos like: "IT'S NOT ENOUGH THAT I SUCCEED, OTHERS MUST FAIL"

which brings me to my next question, does it make us evil to want to see evil people fail in trying to bring us down? does it make us evil to enjoy seeing them suffer as we live happily with our lives while karma bites them in ass and delivers it's own justice? if it does, maybe i'm evil myself, which makes this statement all ironically hypocritical?

i think u nailed it, usually people who want something to suffer. narcissism is another good trait as they tend to lack empathy and mostly look towards themselves.

@undetermined videos about narcissists in YouTube and how to make them squirm as well as destroy their overall confidence sometimes makes me feel that sense of satisfaction or Justice... does that make me an evil person? when we watch justice being served towards bullies, rapists, or even pedophiles in general
@quinnVneck i dont think it makes you evil to see someone get punishments considering the people or animal who was harmed

@undetermined its difficult to let go of the sense of vigilantism at times when our hearts call for the extreme justice that it makes us want to go through the limit of what is justified.
@quinnVneck well that depends, no one is calling for the death penalty for every evil deed.

@undetermined well the law doesn't have to do the death penalty. it's people who support the 2nd amendment rights who sometimes give the death penalty, especially towards those who threaten to take their lives and the lives of their love ones.

"try to take my life and you already forfeit your own" - a quote from somebody in YouTube comments. in a video about people having to kill in self defense, reddit stories
@quinnVneck well in that instance, would you rather shoot someone and it may kill them or have them kill you or someone you know?
