I Love to Cross Stitch

So I was working on a nice owl in a late winter forest. Looking great because of the simple elements and all that, but then....I run out of the gray I needed. Now that's a bit thing because a gray own in a winter forest of ash trees...yeah.

So I figure I'll work on something else until my floss can get here from Russia since that can take quite a few weeks. Which do I pick? a huge 4 foot long cherry tree motif for over the couch.

Why do I do this to myself?

@Pfuzylogic Very much so. I can do it being simple cross stitch without variation. It's just time and keeping my attention so I don't splice my thread. Embroidery is much easier in many ways. But it should look decent after.

I do enjoy the finished product.
I think I kept up with the technical terms.
