I Love This Poem

Excerpt from
"Now the Day Is Over"

by Sabine Baring-Gould, 1834-1924

Now the day is over
night is drawing nigh
shadows of the evening
steal across the sky.

Now the darkness gathers
Stars begin to peep,
Birds and beasts and flowers
Soon will be asleep.

Through the long night-watches
May Thine angels spread
Their white wings above me,
Watching round my bed.

That would be nice to recite to a child as you tuck them in :)

I like this poem

Fighting me

I have been arguing with my inner voice
its taken control without my choice

its hard to battle someone you know
shes me im her where do we go

she wants to die.i want to live
such a tug of war.neither will give

such a battle with no where to rest
she badgers me constant.and i do my best

she knows all my secrets and throws in my face
and i to her .i get on her case

as we both weaken to words so true
and with the truth what do we do

so as we got a minute as this poem we do write
i and her both get a rest from our fight.
