Why do I feel so guilty about this? Financial aid is confusing.

Well okay so I got a book advance because I really needed my books. They usually send that out before your refund because the refund doesn’t come until two or three weeks after classes start. I was expecting it because I really needed my books. Then I realized I had money left in my bank account. Shit! I already cashed out my check and I also got my refund money this week. I got $893. I don’t know what to do. I feel guilty because I don’t know if should send back the money for book advance.
One person said I can just put the money up for next year semester but one says nope send it back if it’s eating me up.
My parents asked me, “Well do you need to send it back?” I told them no because it is part of my financial aid award and I applied for a grant. My best friend said well just save it for the next semester. She said well as part of my financial aid so I shouldn’t feel guilty and it’s a grant.
Someone told me that wasn’t true and it doesn’t matter if it’s a grant and I still need to send that money back. Now I feel really shaky inside! I’m afraid that Financial Aid will say I need to send it back I’m gonna be in big trouble. Sorry I tend to be a worry wart. 😩😩😫😫

Is this money from a loan or a grant? If it's grant money, keep it. If it's loan money, you will have to pay it back with interest.

@TheArbitrator Okay thank you. I thought I was going to go to jail and my parents thought that I requested money but I didn’t.
