I Am Surprised

I got off work one night and decided to stop by Wal-Mart first to buy a new blue ray player before going home. Keep in mind the fact that I'm still in my work uniform from the local grocery store. I knew I was gonna attract some attention from Wal-Mart customers because I could just be the special employee who gets to wear all black instead of blue right?! So I'm in there looking for my blu ray player and then some lady ("typical soccer mom type") asks me where she could find (____) item. Then I respond with " I'm not sure....I don't work here I work at Frys". Then she gives me a puzzled stare and then asks again like I didn't just explain to her that I didn't work there and then she walked away all awkwardly. I even showed her the store logo on the sleeve part of my shirt and she still didn't understand.....I used to think I was dumb but....damn I was wrong. I wonder what stresses people out so much that it disables their minds so badly. Like is it that hard to comprehend what words people are saying or even the text they're reading.

I've had exactly the same experience ... I know better than to go near a Target store wearing a khaki skirt or khaki pants with a red top.
