I Date Outside of My Race

I have a date tonight with an Argentine-born Italian doctor who works at the hospital, but in a different department. He is most definately from a different race than me, I'm a Jewess and Israeli, as I've said a few times now.

I decided to accept his invitation to dinner. He'd asked me a few times before. Riccardo is tall, dark and not too handsome, but he is almost twenty years older than me.

He is a specialist in his field, and he works at our hospital three of four days a week, including weekends, and I'm told he's a good surgeon too.

I dated a very pretty Jewish girl in high school and we really cared about each other but had to break up because her parents did not want her going out with a Catholic boy. I really had a hard time getting over that. But there are all kinds of Archie Bunkers in the world.

@bhatjc Long past.......I am 65 now. However I dated a girl for a long time but she decided to become a lesbian and we have remained friends for 40 years. My wife is even knows and is friends with her also although we do not see each other often due to distance.
