I Remember the Oj Simpson Verdict

I did not follow the trial. I assumed he would be found guilty. When the verdict was announced, I was in the Student Union at a major university, watching the TV along with a few hundred college students. When the verdict was read, many of the students cheered. I was unprepared for how angry I was. I am angry to this day.

People cheered when Lindy Chamberlain was found guilty, too. I, too, was horrified. She was eventually found to be innocent, and released from prison. I know that this was the opposite situation, but similar inasmuch as to our reaction to popular opinion...
