I Lack A Close Relationship With My Father

I called and spoke with him. How can he be so nice and fall so short? Never making a trip to see his kids. He always expects us to visit him.

On a side note, do you have any idea how difficult it is to find a card for a father that gave you up? Yah. Hallmark doesn't quite cut it.

@updown2020 I've seen the court records, plus he told me himself that he didn't want to deal with my mother so he walked away.

@abooklover Well again the court records say one thing and what actually happened two different things and maybe your mom made it hard for him to see you and instead of breaking his heart he felt it better to leave that was his way to deal with it. At least you have some communications and the fact you have to go to him shows him that you want to see him.
