I was third grade spelling bee champion, so I [i]was[/i] good at spelling. These days, not quite as good, but I need to proofread for work, so I'm still getting practice. I will admit to looking up the occasional common word when I need to though.

for the most part but there are still words that i sometimes have to spell out several times before i get it right lol. and some of them are easy ones. and sometimes i like european spelling better. colour. travelled, with two ls instead of 1. etc. i try not to use auto-correct for the reason you mentioned. 🐸

Never have been. As a retired college professor, many times I would turn to my class and request the correct spelling of some word to write on the whiteboard.

Try turning off auto spell check. Only turn it on before sending document/mail.
