I have never met any teacher or professor that deserves to be paid more.

Like no, let those bastards go broke 😂 God, I hate teachers

I've know several that due to their dedication in helping me pursue my goals, could never be compensated enough. 🤷‍♀️

I've had some really good teachers that deserved way more. I've also had some really crap teachers that should have been arrested. Most of them though were just victims of the system, being forced to teach a curriculum that is geared towards passing one standardized test instead of actually teaching useful knowledge. I'm sure we'd have way better teachers that did deserve more if we got rid of a bunch of the crap that's holding them back.

@FaeLuna spot on.
I was a teaching assistant for 15 years. I left because the systemn is falling apart. Staff morale at an all time low. Its more about reaching targets and being a social worker and babysitter these days x

I know dozens and dozens of teachers....98% of whom are worth their weight in gold.

education is a two way street...

you are the most important teacher you will ever meet and it would be a shame if you turned out to be one of those "bastards".

no one can make you learn, that is entirely up to you.

I think that this can probably be argued about any career, we have amazing teachers, but we also have horrible ones.
Just as we have amazing doctors, and horrible ones
Yeah, who cares about transmitting knowledge to the next generation? Let humanity perish and give the parrots a chance to create a new society.
The thing is - they keep bitching about their pay - and Libs say that they are not paid enough - BUT they forget they only work 9 months out of the year... If that... With all sorts of half days and weird made up days off.

@MarmeeMarch A lot is set for them yes.....but they still have to tailor it for their classes. As i teaching assistant i sat in on planning....unpaid i might add....and there was rarely a time...ever...that things didnt need amending. Following set plans that require things be done in a certain way assumes you have the correct resourses....which often isnt the case. Schools dont have money to replace equipement needed... staff often pay for things out of their own pockets.....and i mean basic stuff every class should have...but dont.
Nothing is standard. Least of all kids......
@RubySoo Right there are marked differences in what a school has for resources - some have little some have so much that they just skim it off and pocket the rest. I was aqusintrd with a teacher's union once - and heard that they have to spend their allotment, and if they didn't they would lose it till the next year. So these crooks would buy big ticket items to fill up their spaces and the tax - sucker is none the wiser..
I urge any taxpayer to look at what they are paying their local school district each year and find out more about where the money is going.

@MarmeeMarch things are clearly different in the US to here in the UK. State schools here are potless. And any extra funds they can get are always earmarked for a particular project/reason. Honestly....my school 2 years ago ran out of paper ....can you believe that? No paper in Feb..4 months if term to go. Staff had to buy it for their own classes. The school photocopier bust and there was no money to buy a new one. We had to use our own printers and buy our own ink.
Yet....the secured a grant for a gardening project and spent thousands on mini garden tools and wellies......which was great...but we needed much more basic stuff.

I met a couple of them who were great. They actually taught me something.
I've had many who had everyone copy notes while they talked all hour, and I didn't remember or learn anything.
I had one who went on and on from day one in her class about how awful we all were and how she doesn't get paid enough to deal with us.

I don't think they all deserve more either. Some do.

😲. My mom was a college professor ! I owe everything to her and her colleagues after she adopted me . I was illiterate and dyslexic at 11 , 7 years later I tested out of my first two years of college and am a degrees professional . You get out of it what you put into it ...

There are some lousy teachers out there for sure . The white women of BLM are radical lib teachers . Not all are bad .
