I've hit an all time low, would you use goodnight or good night ? I'm becoming confused nowadays n can't tell which is correct

Good night is technically more correct, although I think goodnight is probably more acceptable than goodmorning, goodday, goodafternoon, goodevening, which really do need the space. If people know what you mean, I wouldn't worry too much about it. The main purpose of language is understanding.

I believe they are two seperate words... But due to text and slang its become goodnight. But dont quote me on that

Where as goodnight is demonstrating a farewell. That makes more sense.
