Why do you go without red meat on Good Friday?

I go without meat on every day.

Hell I'm likely to go without food on Friday but not by choice

I don't just out of family tradition. My grandparents were Catholic so we did meatless Fridays during lent with my grandmother. So I just keep doing it out of nostalgia and the fact I love fish and seafood.
