What's a dish you love to cook?

Teach me how to make it?
if you take a 3lb beef roast, a packet of aujus, a packet of ranch dressing and 1/3 of a jar of pepperchinies, place it all in a crockpot and let it cook all day.
The is worth eating.

Good old fashioned Misssissippi pot roast. Don’t forget to pour the juice over some mashed potatoes @TwiddlerofThumbs! Yum!
@JesseInTX Absolutely!

I do it 8 hours on low heat in the crock pot. Amazing @TwiddlerofThumbs!
the only thing I can really make is something dad used to call 'goulash', but it's a midwestern appropriation of a hungarian dish, completely redone. it's effectively chili with past in it.

@stound I know it! It's "Hotdish" here in Minnesota! There are lots of varieties though!
@YourBuddyRandall woot. we called it that in MI, I dunno how far the name ranges. words are slippery, changing, morphing, living things.

Slice up a cheap roast and sear each slice on both sides, put into a pot to which onions, garlic and a couple of carrots have been added. Deglaze the pan with a cup or two of red wine, and pour over beef. Add a couple of cans of crushed tomato's and cook on low heat 3 or 4 hours until meat falls apart, serve over wide noodles. You have beef ragu.

4 boneless skinless chicken breasts into a baking dish. Season with salt/pepper. 1 cup of uncooked white rice poured over chicken. Combine 10oz can of cream and mushroom soup, 1 1/2 cups of water and 1 pack of onion soup mix. Pour over chicken and rice. Bake at 325 for an hour and a half. Rest 5 minutes and dig in.
