i was loo0king at "cool rocks i found" just yesterday! dont let peeps tell you you got to be a kid to enjoy the world. i rock hunt monthly. and at random
They're amazing finds and not just for kids. Always keep your childlike wonder alive. The world will be a source of endless fascination.
I'm sure I found an iron meteorite one time, washed ashore along the Atlantic in the shallows. Requiring two hands to lift it, 2 bowling balls in size, about 15lbs. Polished, it looked like it had been in a blast furnace or molten at one time, with objects melted into it.
Probable, as many land in water and are never found.
@Trippy I got about a dozen from a barren area in Morocco near a farm. I thought it was interesting how each one was different and then learned that there had been a big flood from an area down a mountain nearly a hundred miles away.
Next to never, but whenever I'm walking along the sea shore, you can find lots of interesting ones. They are for the most part really smooth to the touch due to mother nature's great tumbler device, and every so often made more interesting due to color or quarts veins that run through them. I've been known to pick up a few.....yet ask me where they go.🤥

I have all kinds of cool rocks I collected during my hikes.I use them as decoration in the pot of my bonsai. Nobody appreciate them though 😞
