Whats wrong with Facebook?

A few months ago I got a friend request from an unknown man from Liverpool UK.(Reference my second story in SW).

And since then I have almost 15 friend requests pending from some part of UK ,all unknown men ,handsome and with great jobs?

I have hidden every little detail of me ,just a profile pic .,but seriously,whats wrong with Facebook?

What kind of scams are running beneath it?

Or am I that,attractive,lol.

I know it's all fake but how do I prove it?

I see a bunch of men trying to establish contacts with me,or trying to get my phone numbers and every time I block it doesn't work coz every other day I get one more request.
Sick.

Do any of you suffer the same?

Facebook is a waste of time and effort.

you turn your life over to a corporation to exploit for profit.... in return you get to see what uncle John had for breakfast!

That's very true.But if one suddenly disappears from FB,the next part will be ppl calling her at odd hours to see if she is alive.Thats how it is for me .
But I have to close down the account soon .

Yes, when I had my Facebook I received many and all had stolen pictures as their profile pictures. It was annoying.

Random women, yes. It [b]is[/b] a scam, do not friend unless you know them. They can flood your wall with all kinds of stuff and can hijack your photos, etc. Next thing you know, there's another you on FB trolling guys like me.

@Venuscalling: As long as you have the proper security settings so only friends can see your stuff, you should be okay. FB does a fairly decent job finding these folks and deleting the accounts. If there's a seemingly random person friending me, emailing, I usually let it sit a week or so before taking any action.

@TalanE: Yes I have apparently hidden even the obvious facts .It's totally private .
But still information like name and a profile pic cannot be hidden I believe,unless you want to be non searchable.

Perhaps you are right .Having no account there is the only valid solution.
