Are there any semi legit online dating methods?

Time and time again I match with fakes or bots. They all have the same pattern of speech, same shallow unspecified bios but always accompanied with pics of beautiful girls. Some are legit but very few.I dont fall for these and I dont take risks anymore. And they always have an excuse for not wanting to meet or not being able to call or video chat so I can confirm their identity. I often use Google reverse image and find that often the pictures are stolen.

I'm sure many of you think this is pathetic but I dont have much time outside of work and I dont get out much so I don't have many options
