It happens. Hardly anyone shares everything about themselves, at least in my experience. 3years is a long time but at least you found out in time to move on. There are soooooo many good people out there if you are willing to search.and im guessing you enjoyed a lot of your time with your ex.take some time for yourself, remember the good times. And then get out and find you another! 😉
