I Have Strange Childhood Memories

When I was 10 years old, I woke up in the middle of night and saw a strange green light coming from my parents room. But it was impossible. My door was wide open and theirs was shut, it had that jagged glass that you can't see through but the light was shining through and it was so bright that it lit up the entire lounge room that was between our 2 bedrooms. I could only see maybe up to a meter into the lounge room. Strangely, it did not light up my room very much. The entrance was lit up a little bit but the rest was dark. Something that stopped me from being able to see clearly into the next room should have given my room a lot more light than that.
I was sitting up in bed and was going to get up and check it out. Unfortunately... I laid down and went back to sleep :/ That is one of my biggest regrets. I asked my parents about the green light the next day but they said they didn't know anything.
I understand that it might sound like a dream but I have no doubt that I was awake and what I saw was real.
It is possible to dream when awake as daydreaming is also a thing. I had never had a real daydream before until recently and when it happened it was terrible and scared the living daylights out of me literally. Some people have false memories of things happening as well and I can only assume that’s it’s happened to me also. I have memories of songs that don’t exist and a vivid memory of going to see my grandmas friend who lived in a really nice apartment looking over London but in reality she lived in Dorset in an ordinary bungalow so don’t know what happened there.

@Gingerbreadspice I'd believe it. That stuff happening to you in an alternate universe is something that came to my mind. Another possible explanation is that reality changed. Someone or something altered it but for some reason only you can remember what it used to be like. Or maybe others do but just haven't said anything, or you don't know them.
@Redstar I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks this could happen to themselves.

@Gingerbreadspice Me too. I was hesitant to bring any of this stuff up but I'm glad I did.

And the truth will remain unknown

@Spica Ohh, really? What happened?

I thought I saw an angel in the form of my older sister but more beautiful and kind. My aunt when she was 9 she saw a man on his horse flying in the sky. She swears it was real. Children seem to see those things

@Spica I'm not religious so I don't believe in angels but maybe you two really did see something. Maybe I'm completely wrong and your sister had become an angel.
It could be that a child's mind is more open to things like that, or it could just be their imagination. Or maybe these things, whatever they might be, don't care about revealing themselves to children because they know that no one will believe them.. possibly even themselves, later on. In which case, they're kinda dicks.
