I Know That Life Is Hard

Honestly, you have to learn to be your own hero. Life is hard, almost everything about life is hard. If you don't learn to be your own champion you'll become the worlds chump.
I've tried to be fair with those around me, sometimes even allowing myself to be mistreated thinking I was being noble. Now, I realize I was being abusive to myself

Yes. Agree. We have to be our own hero's. We must consider ourselves before others - if you are not looking after yourself properly then you can't look after others properly.

It's all about boundaries. Knowing our own, being aware of others and knowing how to deal with it appropriately if your boundaries are breached.
