I Lost A Family A Family Member

More like found. On a trip far away from home, I was fortunate to discover my great-grandparent's grave. Having been buried in 1917 and 1920, it was in a poor state and unmarked, so I decided I would go back one day and clean it up. I took my mother, and we did this. However, due to the distance, a headstone was out of the question, but a little tidying made such a difference.
I would like to think that although Mum and I never met them, they would appreciate that they are still loved and not forgotten.
In some way I think they will know what you did.

I can tell you a remarkable story.
Many years ago I used to take a short cut through a cemetery.
This one time as I was walking thorough watching my step as this cemetery is now not used for many years and very overgrown.
Trees growing out of some graves, that sort of thing.
For some reason I just stopped.
I looked around and even spoke to the graves around me saying who stopped me?
The one closest to me was Mary (someone)
I said was that you who stopped me?
I had to move some overgrowth to read all of her stone.
Then with surprise I noticed the date of her birth was the same day I was there, different years of course.
I wished her happy birthday Mary.
I feel she wanted to be remembered.

@Robynthebeautiful Firstly, thank you. And that is an amazing story. You were very fortunate. I spoke to my great grandparents when I found their grave. I introduced myself and told them who I was, and hope they were glad I came.
