What are some local traditions you have that you think are useless?

Sounding air raid horn on the fire department because it's six am ,noon, 6 pm, or anytime their isn't a fire or explosion. Stupid ass fucking thing.

Oh and Church bells and bugle playing Taps like we are all at war and on the ready for the front line.
