Can men and women be 'just friends'?

In my experience, someone always wants something more...I'm tired of always breaking someone's heart. I have always found it way easier to be friends with females, but it always ends badly.

One of my very best friends of 30 years is a man. We've never crossed the line, or come close to doing so.
So yes, men and women can be just friends.
