I Can Sometimes Remember My Dreams

I just had a bad dream within a bad dream during a nap. I dreamed that I heard noises inside my house from water dripping and or splashing. It worried me a lot to know that there was a problem. Then I realized that I couldn't get up and was afraid that something was wrong with me. I've heard a little of sleep paralysis and tried to calm down and completely relax for a minute. Then I listened for anything. There were sounds from water like before and I became afraid that a raccoon had gotten into the house and was drinking from the toilet. I wondered if I should get up and try to safely get it out of the house or if I would even be safe to stay where I was. I heard pawsteps leaving the bathroom and come into the bedroom. That made me happy with the idea that my husband had left work early and came home with a new dog as a surprise and I tried to sit up to find out. I found that I still couldn't move. I realized everything so far could have been a dream. I tried to feel for real things and learn if my head was still on a pillow, if my foot or anything else was hanging over the edge, if my eye mask was still on.
The thought of that last one, I believed, sent my hands to my face to remove the mask as they normally would. I was so happy and relieved to be awake but almost immediately realized I still couldn't see. There was a lot of quick worrying and stress that something bad had actually happened to my brain while I slept. Thankfully that didn't last more than a moment before I woke for real and found that I'm my usual self and there are no signs that water had gone anywhere it shouldn't. I'm back in the real world as far as I know... lol.
