I think the new dog I got is possessed it acts really strange at night and aggressive.

The dog has a history apparently.
You can help if you notice all his behavior around these times and maybe ask the last people who owned him...what his life was like
But chances are you won't be able to so just baby him and work on creating a sense of peace
My guess is he was disturbed at night and his habits are just sticking around
