I Believe Everything Has A Solution

What would you suggest for this one?

Up to one million plant and animal species now face extinction owing to habitat destruction and climate change, warned a report by the Intergovernmental Science–Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services, a panel backed by the United Nations. And the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) called for drastic efforts to curb demand for agricultural land, including people shifting towards a plant-based diet, in a special report.

Cutting out the animal agriculture is the only viable option, not that we can particularly afford to stop there. Clean power, intensive development assistance programs, and massive reorganization of the structures of cities are all must-haves if we want to survive this nightmare.

I wonder how the "Darwinists" would respond, ya know, survival of the fittest and all... 🤔
Switch from gas powered motor vehicle engines to electric and hybrids. Expand use of solar, wind and geothermal energy. And do more research into other alternatives.

That would involve forcing every person with a gas powered vehicle to purchase an electric or hybrid vehicle. Or, the governments to provide the replacements, costing quite a lot. How would you combat that issue?

@quitwhendone
@GlitterBug Legislation that would gradually ban the manufacture, import and sale of gas powered vehicles. Those already in use could remain in use. We could be 98% electric and hybrid in 20 years.

I would consider creating some kind of limitation or disincentive for eating meat, maybe a tax for farming & sales, then use the tax money specifically for reclaiming old fields, reforestation, & green technology research & incentives 👌

@SW-User I agree that he's a huge problem, but he's not the only barrier. It's not like Japan, India, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia have been particularly responsible in this area.

We do need to do something to slow down climate change.
