I Recommend This Movie
Nightcrawler (2014)
With Jake Gyllenhaal and Rene Russo.
A really good movie. About Lou Bloom (Jake Gyllenhaal), a Los Angeles denizen who, in the past, has bounced from one job another and yet had been surviving more of petty thievery and had been looking for a job and a career to grow into.
One day, he sees a couple of stringers (freelance photojournalists) recording footages of police officers rescuing a woman wrecked in her car before the whole thing caught on fire, who sell their footages to any local news station who pays them the most. Inspired, the last thing Lou ever steals is a cyclists road competition bicycle and he pawns it for a camcorder and a police scanner. He gets footages of crimes and crime scenes and eventually grows it into a big job and profession. Long story short, he gradually makes it into a big business and expands his business and has a team of new interns who would pursue their career goals as full-time employees for VPN (Video Production News), his professional news gathering service business he founded.
Watch it. You won't regret it.
