I got it for smoking on the way to school. I was 16 at the time so could legally buy cigarettes but that didn't cut any ice. Over the desk I went, skirt up and six of the best across my knickers.

How often did you receive the cane during your school career; you sounded quite a devil.

@Sharon So if you were at secondary school for seven years including V1th form that amounts to about 28 times. Your hands and bottom must have been used to pain then? Did most girls in your school receive the cane- -did any escape or entry to an exclusive club.

@Chroniclewriter 28 times sounds about right. All my circle of friends, boys and girls, got it about as often as I did. Overall, I think about half of all the students got it at least once sometime during their time at school. I expect everyone got the slipper a few times.

I don't know. It's impossible to know how different I would have been if I hadn't been caned. Overall, I think the evidence shows that, in general, CP is harmful.
