I Got The Cane In School 6 Of The Best

@SW-User In those days, smoking was cool, it made us feel grown up because most adults smoked. There were official warnings about the dangers but nobody really took them seriously. Cigarettes were often referred to as "cancer sticks" or "coffin nails". It was seen as something of a joke. More recently, there was even a brand called "Death".

@Sharon I know Sharon. It was like an initiation rite. Mom caught me stealing cigarettes from her and that was before I was caned for smoking at school.

@SW-User When I was at school, getting the slipper and the cane were seen as rites of passage. You weren't one of the cool kids until you'd been caned.

@Sharon I was in an all girl school and I was more lika a hang around to the cool kids. After my first caning when I was 11 I took a step up the ladder.

@SW-User I was quite a celebrity for a few hours as I was one of the first girls in my age group to get the cane. I have written details in a story on here. I proudly showed off the marks on my palms and answered loads of questions

@TommyBoy I was only caned on my hands once and as far as I remember they were fairly light strokes and the sting didn't last too long afterwards. My bottom stung much longer

@Rebecca54 I imagine they didn't want to damage your hands. A bottom can take a lot more. Both sound like they hurt plenty.

@Rebecca54 @TommyBoy I was usually caned on my bottom. The few times I was caned on my hand hurt more but it was more of a dull bruise type pain. Getting it on my bottom stung more but didn't hurt as much, if that makes sense.

@Sharon Yes that does make sense. I think I'd rather deal with the more sting on my bottom than anything on my hands.
