I Got The Cane In School 6 Of The Best

I didnt get six of the best but, I did get two strokes of the cane in front of the whole school assembly. I was 15 at the time and I was absolutely mortified especially as parents were allowed to sit at the back during assemblies. I'm only thankful mine were not present. I can just imagine their shame if they would have wittnesed me being called to the stage to be caned.

A strange arrangement, that parents were allowed to attend school assembly. Did many do so? What was the rationale for it?

@MartinII Hi. Parents could sit at the back during assembly. It was just something the school always did. I think it was just the schools way of being transparent
