I Am Childless Not By Choice

It's hard to talk about, isn't it? The 4/5 of the population that can have children tend to assume that anyone can have children who want them, but we know better. We suffer their tactless remarks, such as "When are you going to have children?" We tend to suffer in silence because of the kind of stigma and even shame that can surround infertility, which further generates a sense of isolation and being different...and while others may intellectually understand infertility, only another infertile person can really understand the painful feelings and life issues involved. I had two of them, but I do not expect everyone to do the same.
People talk without thinking.
If you are not married at a certain age they assume you want to be, but cannot find anyone and It the same with kids they assume you want them.
It is your choice and yours alone.
Even if you did wan them but couldn't or never found a mate in the case of being single, people should have more tact or at least have the sense to keep silent.
