What do you do for a living?
Can you sell some books or CD's for cash?
TheCoolestCat · 31-35, M
aha i trade in the stock market for a living actually,
DallasCowboysFan · 61-69, M
@TheCoolestCat Do you trade stocks or options?
The market was down 725 today, as much as 900 points at one time.
I was going to buy a put option this morning because I felt like it was going to be a down day but I waited too late and when I saw the market about a half hour after it opened it was already down 600.

So I bought a call option to expire on Wednesday.
Statistically, 80 percent of the time, when we have a major down day like this, it rises the next day. Hopefully, I 'll make a few bucks....I only bought 1 contract, so that is all I can expect.

stocks just, going long all the time, it was a good day at the end of the day yesterday i did 2 hours work and made £125 off my measly input of £450, today ive got £750 in it so im hoping to make £100 a day minimum, i just day trade though so its risky as shit, but then the greater the risk the greater the reward lol,,,,, been trading in micro cap companies lately, ya know companies with a market cap of 100 million or less, its been going pretty well i can 150% my cash in a week by skipping in and out of various ones tbh

@TheCoolestCat It's fun, I like the markets. Always changing, unpredictable. Tuesday should be an exciting day. Europe seemed to have a day as bad as the states on Monday. The markets in the U.S. often follow Europe.

I never get bored with it.
TheCoolestCat · 31-35, M
whilst i live in the uk, i hardly ever trade the European markets just do the american markets mainly, more cash to be made i think
DallasCowboysFan · 61-69, M
@TheCoolestCat Yeah, I think there are more opportunities in US markets.
Most of the brokerages, now offer free trading, no fees for buying / selling stock.
Is that the same for the UK?

TD ameritrade does not charge for trading stock most stocks and only charge % . 65 for an option trade.

10-15 years ago many brokerages were charging $25 to buy or sell a stock, then it went down to $6 and now its free. Thank goodness for the IT industry and automation.
TheCoolestCat · 31-35, M
yea i only pay an exchange fee of like £0.65 per £100
