Why does this girl who is from Mexico have blue eyes & I don't? Why does she have blue eyes not me?

It is a recessive gene, you would need the recessive gene from both parents in order to have blue eyes.

Well she is from San Miguel Allende. Than again not all people from Mexico have brown eyes. Her eyes are bright blue. I would think brown is more common in Mexico. Or in most countries brown is dominant gene. So I could have recessive gene for blue eyes. My dad has hazle eyee & my mom has brown eyes
