In the US, there are two classifications of Hispanic. There is white, and non-white. A lot of times it comes down to what the individual chooses to identify as on whatever paperwork they are filling out. White Hispanics would be people like you, people from Argentina of Italian and German Latino descent, a lot of Puerto Ricans etc. There are the fair number of blonde and redhead Mexicans because there were Amish and Irish that settled in Mexico.

Does the individual have some European ancestry or not? That's all that matters, not the country of origin.
Shakira is definitely part white Latino. The other part is Middle Eastern, I believe. She's a mamacita regardless.

My grandfather had blonde hair and blue eyes and was born and raised in Mexico. He didn't even know English. He was Mexican as it gets.

But Mexican isn't a race its nationality say your family were from Germany & than you were born in Mexico that would mean your Mexican at birth
