I Enjoy Meaningful Conversations

That is what has shaped you into who you are and that is the only to truly know a person. This is the you I want to know.

No one gets kicked off my beach, specially not the wounded and scarred.

I feel the same way. Its all that painful mess, mixed with our shining moments that makes us who we are. If someone can't appreciate what I've been through and understand how I dealt with it, they don't really know me...or deserve what I bring to the table and vice versa.

I want that too, but not at first meeting. Geez.

@diablesse: I would never introduce myself to a new acquaintance by telling them of all my past pain and heartbreak. First, why do I want to sound like a whiner? Second, if you don't know them at all, how can you be sure they wouldn't use that information against you, or just find you not worth the effort. Third, it's none of their business until we are closer to friends than strangers.

Probably not to a new acquaintance, but on those rare occasions when you simply click with someone and you instinctively know that the real you is safe with that person. I have done it on a very rare few occasions and in return I have been blessed with the most meaningful friendships in my life.

@diablesse: you were lucky.

I think it is for conversation, with coffee or wine...so the memories are released in their own accord

Absolutely...
