I Believe In An Emotional Connection

*Special People*
Have you not ever just connected with someone. Thinking the same thoughts, being so compatible that you feel you have known that person for 20 years or more.
The more you get to know them the more things you find you have in common. The ease of being able to communicate with each other on a multitude of levels. Tickling each others brains. Laughing with each other, crying together if need be. Comforting on lonely days, understanding the pain and being there for you.

Just knowing that person exists, the friendship is there. It can make the world of difference without you even knowing, you hope that it never ends.

@Howmuchcanakoalabear that's how I have to look at it, or I'll never get over it lol. Sorry if it's harsh but it's working for me

@SW-User You have to do you and look after your own health. Whatever it takes. Stay strong.

@Howmuchcanakoalabear I'm sure going to try. Thank you

yes, unfortunately she developed expectations and fell in love with me and i didn't feel the same.. that feeling is the worst :/
Howmuchcanakoalabear · 51-55, F
@booboo That would be the worst, clear boundaries need to be set if you think they are getting infatuated.

@Howmuchcanakoalabear the thing is though, I did set boundaries and told her right from the beginning, then found out later that she had fallen in love with me... that left me with a sickening feeling of friendship lost...

Yea, a couple of times. Purely friendship. Just knowing they're out there makes me feel better. I don't have contact anymore.
Howmuchcanakoalabear · 51-55, F
@Paliglass Some people are only meant to be in our lives for a certain period of time. We get what we need / or not and move on.
ChampagneOnIce · 51-55, F
Yes, and it’s wonderful.
