I Want To Tell You What I'M Doing Today
I had an interesting day.
My father called this morning, and we had the best conversation we’ve ever had. I won’t go into details; I will just say that I know now beyond a shadow of a doubt that my dad loves me, wants me to be happy, and is on my side no matter what.
I get a little weepy thinking about it. My dad and I did not get along very well back when we were younger. I guess time and events have changed both of us. I feel sad for all the years we could have had, if only we’d gotten our respective acts together sooner. Better late than never, I guess.
I also feel sad that my mother didn’t live to see us being so good to each other. It would have made her very happy.
