I Like Vintage And Old Music

As a young boy growing up, I used to like classical music (Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Bizet, Strauss, Wagner, etc) then, during my early teenage years, I started taking a liking to early 1920's to late 1940's jazz. (Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Django Reinhart and so on)

Also at that time, I started to take a liking to early 1950's to late 1970's rock and roll. Artist like Chuck Berry, Fats Domino, Jerry Lee Lewis, Buddy Holly, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Jefferson Airplane, Pink Floyd, Queen, the list goes on...

Towards the year I graduated from high school, I then developed an interest in late 1970's to early 1980's disco, groups like The Bee Gees, The Commodores, the Whispers, Lipps Inc and so forth as well as early to late 1980's pop, rock, synthpop and new wave. Artists like, Gary Human, Madonna, Michael Jackson, The Police, New Order, Simple Minds, Billy Idol, Prince and the Revolution, and Bruce Springsteen, to name a few.

Recently, I've taken a liking to mid 1970's to late 1980's Jpop. (Nowadays known as City Pop) Some of my favorite artists of this genre are Yellow Magic Orchestra, Happy End, Mariya Takeuchi, Tatsuro Yamashita, Hiroshi Sato, Kaoru Akimoto, Miho Fujiwara, Hideki Saijo, Yumi Arai, Toshiki Kadomatsu, and Takako Mamiya.

I cannot believe I'm the first to comment. Your love for all kinds of music - certainly on SW, at least - must be unparalleled.

As a side note, if you've ever seen The Benny Goodman Story, what do you think of Steve Allen's acting?

@SW-User I'm not sure about unparalleled, but I will admit my tastes in music are indeed unique. Also, I've never seen "The Benny Goodman Story," but now that you mention it, I might consider watching it. I did, however, in recent years, watch the film, Bohemian Rhapsody and I must say, that Rami Malek's portrayal of Farrokh Bulsara, A.K.A Freddie Mercury was really superb.
