How do I move past someone?

It's been a few months since my relationship ended. I caught him flirting with another girl and he tried to lie about it. It still hurts as there was no closure. He apologized, but losing trust in someone is terrible.

The strange thing is that he was regarded as one of those 'nice guys'. This just confirms to me that guys are trash.
